Fluid Dynamics: Dynamics of a Dance
These are the coolest microscopic videos I have seen in 12 hours, possibly 16.
It is reported in Nature this week that Volvox, microscopic algae, “dance” with one another, possibly to increase female exposure to sperm packets.  Near the top of the dancing chamber, Volvox ‘waltz’, as seen here.  Towards the bottom, they perform a ‘minuet’, as seen here.
